College of Arts & Sciences
The College of Arts & Sciences provides support for on-campus faculty,
staff and lab computers and computing. The support team members:
- CJ Kentler (x4634, ckentler) and Mark Flood (x6184, mflood)
are the Technical Support Consultants
providing hardware and software installation and troubleshooting, and
departmental new computer purchasing assistance.
- Donna Sue Pintar (x4765, pintar) is the Instructional Support Specialist
for the College of Arts & Sciences providing software training for end users,
and consulting and research for computer integration in the classroom.
- Mike Modaress has gone on phased retirement (9-month half time) as of June 15, 2006.

Instructional Support Consultant providing software training for end users,
and consulting and research for computer integration in the classroom.
The primary mission of The College of Arts & Sciences support team is to provide desktop computing support
for computing equipment (PCs, Macs, printers)
purchased and deployed by The College of Arts & Sciences and its departments.
Available software and support is described in the
software list.
Any other computer, hardware and/or software related support, installation, troubleshooting
or training is secondary.
That is not to say that someone cannot do something because we do not support it,
rather it is to say that someone may have to support it on their own.
Please note that the College of Arts & Sciences does not provide computer support or training for home computers.
Home computers include computers purchased with personal development funds.
Please note that the College of Arts & Sciences does not provide support or configuration for
connecting to the wireless network provided to the public by PSU.
